About Me

Hi, I’m Audrey! 🥔

I’m the chief potato here at The Solo Potato, a little corner of the internet for women living on their own.

From enjoying the quiet of your own home to wrestling with a stubborn jar, solo living comes with its own little adventures.

Here you’ll find practical tips, easy recipes, and simple home ideas to make living alone a little easier and more like the life you want.

If you’re an eldest daughter, you probably already have a little idea where this is going.

I’ve always been pretty independent. I like doing things on my own, figuring things out as I go, and honestly, I really enjoy being solo.

And then there’s the potato part.

I call myself a potato because I genuinely love staying at home. Give me my room, a comfy spot, my laptop, something good to eat, and I’m pretty much set.  I don’t hate going outside, but let’s just say I usually need a very good reason to leave the house.

Basically, if I can do it from home, I probably will.

Recently, I started thinking, “Why don’t I make a website?”

But this time, I wanted to create something for women who are living on their own, figuring life out as they go, and learning how to make their little corner of the world feel like home.

And somehow, that idea became The Solo Potato.

Getting here wasn’t exactly a straight path, either. I’ve gone through plenty of trial and error, changed things around, moved from one website to another, and probably spent way too much time figuring out things that should have been simple.

But I wanted to build this one myself and actually understand how everything works.

And hey, I’m finally here.

What You’ll Find Here

The Solo Potato is for women like me who are navigating life on their own, one little step at a time.

Because living alone isn’t always about having everything figured out.

Sometimes it’s figuring out dinner when you don’t feel like cooking.

Sometimes it’s trying to make a tiny apartment feel like home.

Sometimes it’s learning how to manage your money, create a routine, or simply enjoy your own company.

And sometimes, it’s just staying in your room like the potato you are.

Whether you’re just starting your solo-living journey, you’ve been doing it for years, or you’re simply here because you found something you can relate to, I’m really glad you’re here.

Welcome to The Solo Potato.
